If you lose your hearing due to your occupation, you may choose to file a claim
three months from the date you were removed from the harmful noise in the workplace. (Removal can include wearing protective gear, so ask for it at work. Contact OSHA at 1-800-321-OSHA for help if necessary); OR
three months after leaving the employment in which the exposure to the harmful noise occurred.
The last day of these three periods is considered the date the disability began. You may file beyond the two-year limit if it is done within 90 days of knowledge that the hearing loss is related to your employment. Contact us right away for assistance. Any delay could negatively affect your rights.
